Trellis Quilt by Cluck Cluck Sew: Pattern Review

Quincy with Trellis Quilt

Let’s start with my extreme excitement to share with you how much I can RAVE about this quilt pattern. The Trellis Quilt by Cluck Cluck Sew is a gorgeous, geometric pattern. From the cutting directions to sewing the blocks together, constructing this quilt was a breeze.

This jelly roll and layer cake friendly quilt is the perfect addition to your quilt stack! Currently I am thinking about tying this quilt and then binding it rather than traditionally quilting it! While I do enjoy quilting on my machine or tackling hand quilting, I purchased an arrangement of colorful embroidery threads from Amazon that I am going to use to do an “ombre” tying on this quilt! I recommend you give it a shot too, it is less time consuming for sure!

I chose to do mine in a fun rainbow/ombre pattern which ended up coming out exactly how I wanted! I used this jelly roll designed by V and Co. with Moda Fabrics! I have it linked below (I do earn a small commission from links)!

One of the best features of this pattern is that it does not require any special tools and can be accomplished with a standard 6 1/2″x 24 1/2″ gridded ruler. My favorite is this one by Creative Grids, but all will work well with this pattern.

Beyond having a good, “grippy” ruler you should also consider a good ruler to square up the blocks with. However, this pattern makes it super easy to get nearly perfect on each block and I did not have to trim them up too much.

I highly recommend this super fun and bright pattern, the Trellis Quilt by Cluck Cluck Sew! Check it out at the link below if you are looking for a super fun new quilting project!
